Windows machines claim between 90 and 100 credits for a typical WU. I just finished my first 2 WUs on my Mac (MacOS X, 10.3.8) and it claims only 65.26 and 76.29 respectively. We had the same problem with SETI@Home but there it was fixed with the latest client release.

Your just partly right.
The current public release of Boinc (4.19) still uses the cheatable benchmarks. Only the developers versions (4.2x, 4.6x) are debugged.
And they are of course "developer stuff, use at own risk, don't cry when machines start smoking ;-)", but it works fine on my windows, and I will see the decrease in claimed credits soon.

Poorboy, Congratulations on the 500K boinc points. OK, I know it doesn't say it, but by the next update it should.

What I understood is that the

What I understood is that the problem of claimed credit versus OS's is also related to the use of Homogeneous redundancy or not.

The effect of this is (AFAIK), that windows users will definetly get more credit, because they will only be compared with other windows users. They all claim the same (high) credit. And v.v. for Mac/Linux.
In Seti it happened often enough that I shared my WU with two Mac/Linux guys/gals and got just the small amount. Never happened in Predictor ;-)

I don't know where you come up with that because here is a Validated WU from my Account that has 2 Windows & 2 Lunix OS compared together. I have a lot of Validated WU's in my Account like this one. You guys need to just quit crying over spilt milk and just crunch the WU's and take what you get for Credit instead of wanting the Deck Stacked in your favor ...
