How do we attach to projects?

In the BOINC menu under settings, there is attach to projects.
Put in the URL and account code that was sent with your email.

Open Boinc Click on

Open Boinc

Click on "Settings" in the top left hand corner

Click on "Attach to project"

Then copy and paste the project URL and your ID code in the relevant boxes.

Looks like our scheduler is

Looks like our scheduler is having a hard time since we went public and sometimes failes to make the first contact on time. This _might_ be a reason for this problem, you may keep trying.

It would probably help to see the actual list of messages the client writes out - can you post them here? It should at least give a reason why it resets or detaches from the project.

Try to paste the same url

Try to paste the same url into a browser on the same computer. Are you using a proxy? The you will have to tell the BOINC client of it, too.

I've made numerous attempts

I've made numerous attempts to attach to this project. These are the messages each time:

http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ - 2005-02-20 04:24:10 - Project prefs: using your defaults
--- - 2005-02-20 04:24:10 - Insufficient work; requesting more
--- - 2005-02-20 04:24:14 - Insufficient work; requesting more
http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ - 2005-02-20 04:24:14 - Requesting 17280 seconds of work
http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ - 2005-02-20 04:24:14 - Sending request to scheduler: http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi
http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ - 2005-02-20 04:24:18 - Scheduler RPC to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi succeeded
Einstein@Home - 2005-02-20 04:24:18 - Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's web site to get an account key.
Einstein@Home - 2005-02-20 04:24:19 - Resetting project
Einstein@Home - 2005-02-20 04:24:19 - Detaching from project

I'm using the URL http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu and the long hex account string (cross-project ID). I`ve tried at least 10 times. What am I doing wrong? Is it 'cause the site's been Slashdotted?
