(as you can see it says I do have more than I want downloaded but I actually have nothing running)
This computer for some reason has crashed twice and said I was having a BOINC problem when I rebooted.
Now my BOINC Manager is empty (no projects)and fails to connect when I try to "attach to new project"
Should I remove and reinstall BOINC?????
I have never had any problem on any of my pc's
I also will be switching from a dialup to a satellite connection this saturday so I need to figure out how to change that.

DAMN.....What should I do?
)
Does the manager say at the bottom that you are connected to the local host?
If not go to "Advanced", "Select Computer" and try selecting the local host. (in Boinc 5.4.9 )
When I load the Manager is
)
When I load the Manager is says it is "connecting to loacalhost" for a minute and then the box pops up saying "connection failed"
And on my Manager page I don't have the "advanced" tab since there are no projects on the "project" page. (most of the tabs disappeared)
And trying to "attach to new project" isn't working either.
Another pc sitting next to this one running on the same isp is working fine though.
I guess I will just remove the BOINC and download it again and see if it will "attach to new project"
(I only run Einstein and LHC)
But since I am on this dialup for 2 more days it will take over an hour to just reload BOINC........and then about an hour more to get work.
Not to mention BOINC thinks I actually have about 10 WU's on this one.......and I don't.
If you download BOINC and
)
If you download BOINC and setup a new host you can re-download those lost WUs. Under your computer host page you can click 'merge computers' to merge your new host with the one you deleted. The scheduler should then send you those missing WUs.

Finally have it downloading
)
Finally have it downloading Einstein work again.
But it won't load LHC (says either the email address or password is not correct)and that is not possible since I have it and copied and pasted it about 10 times so far.
With credit obtained by now

With credit obtained by now you should be able to browse once in a time homepages of project you take part in. There would you find that there is no work at L@H in this moment. This happens quite often particularly in L@H project.
RE: With credit obtained by

That wasn't what I was saying.
I have been with LHC since 2004.
I had to remove BOINC from this pc and reinstall and after that (newest version) it was not letting me attach to the project (Einstein and LHC) just to be ready to use again when work returns.
I finally got them both to work but then it just started filling the screen with box after box of "connection" problems and messing up the work in progress with Einstein.
So I uninstalled BOINC from this one again and am just going to run it on my other pc's.

If you;re having problems

If you;re having problems with LHC, shouldn't you be posting on thier forum instead of here?
RE: If you;re having
)
Well I was asking here in this thread because I was in the process of reinstalling both and at the time the LHC site was down and I know people run and know about both projects so I was looking for a suggestion or tip that applied.
Yours didn't so maybe you should have just left your one-liner some where else
But they are both running again (Einstein and LHC) and so am I.........
