I'd like to watch some of the lectures and stuff that Mike posted over in the science forum, but I refuse to DL Real Media Player. I'm pretty sure that's how I got infested with adware/spyware the last time around. I found a read me file with the nasties and it said something about it being DL with Real Media.
Is there an alternative that will play RM/RAM files that won't riddle my system with crap?

Might try it myself actually....

Had to allow it access in my firewall, but other than that...

I've used Real Alternative for a year or so. It hasn't let me down yet, but it's only occasionally invoked.

Cheers, Mike.

Mike,
I've been using RealAlternative for quite a while, and it works just fine. I was put off long ago by the fact that Real used to bogart file associations, slowly but persistently and consistently. It wasn't a bad concept, cross-platform media compatibility, too bad they couldn't stick with that, and allow it to succeed on it's own merits.
