When I manually updated my project to report results just a little while ago, I got this error:
2006-03-16 23:57:53 [Einstein@Home] No start tag in scheduler reply
2006-03-16 23:57:53 [Einstein@Home] Can't parse scheduler reply
After a minute, the client reconnected with the server, and it worked fine. However, when it connected, the scheduler attempted to send around 60 work units to my computer. I noticed this and began manually aborting downloads to save space on my computer, but about 25 still got through.
This is a Windows machine running version 5.2.13 of the BOINC client on XP, and I will admit to using one of akosf's optimized applications, but this has never occurred in several upload/download cycles with the application, so I don't know where the fault lies.
If any more information is needed, point me where to find it, and I'll gladly provide it.

Scheduler bug?
)
In manually update?
This is craziness... "succeeded" -> "wrong URL" :P
RE: RE: 17/03/2006

I am not attached to the URL listed in these messages. 2 quick manual updates did not give me the same message. It did appear to allow me to attach to that URL but I did not complete the sequence to be sure.
Seems to be a little oddity in the new scheduler code.

Your computers are hidden. This prevents us from having a look at the scheduler logs. Please unhide your computers.

I can do exactly the same
)
I can do exactly the same thing:
17/03/2006 15:53:00|Einstein@Home|Sending scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi
17/03/2006 15:53:00|Einstein@Home|Reason: Requested by user
17/03/2006 15:53:00|Einstein@Home|(not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks)
17/03/2006 15:53:05|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi succeeded
17/03/2006 15:53:05|Einstein@Home|You are using the wrong URL for this project
17/03/2006 15:53:05|Einstein@Home|The correct URL is http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome/
17/03/2006 15:53:05|Einstein@Home|Detach this project, then reattach to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome/
My computers aren't hidden. It was the Celeron contacting home base. Not that that helps much. "The requested URL /sched_logs/2006-03-17_14/2006-03-17_14:50.txt was not found on this server." .. D'oh.

You have to wait some minutes.
Nothing unusual here. Maybe it is the beta BOINC application?

I can reproduce this problem. I made some fixes to the scheduler yesterday, and must have introduced a new bug.
[Edit] We think we have now found and fixed this. Please report any further problems to this thread.
