Both of you write about settings to be changed. I have looked on the BOINC Manager tabs and menus but cannot find them. Where do I find the "Use between the hours ..." setting? Are these settings on Windows or Internet Explorer? Thanks for your help.

On your Boinc manager hit the Your account button. Scroll to Preferences, hit view or edit general pref. Under primary or seperate (whichever your comp is under) hit edit. Look for 'Use network only between the hours of' and set as needed.
edit - then update your einstein on the manager to force it instead of waiting for it to update itself. Sry Stick on the double post

The setting is a "General preference" accessible at "Your account" at the Einstein web-site. Just hit the "Your account" button under the BOINC Manager "Projects" tab (after highlighting the E@H project) and it should take you there.

I found the preferences for my account and have altered the "Use between the hours ..." specification. Will see how this works. I'm learning new things all the time. It was good to hear from you. I have advertised the screen saver at school and no students have begun using it to my knowledge, unless they have figured it all out without any more input from me. I will keep advertising it. Students today are more technologically with it than me.

2. password
Where do I define this password in the remote computer ?
For the hostname, IP @ seems to work, correct ?

You actually need 2 files defined on the remote computer:
remote_hosts.cfg - This file contains the name or IP of computers that can control this one
gui_rep_auth.cfg - This file contains the password.
After these two files are established, BOINC needs to be stopped and restarted, then "Remote Control Allowed" should show in the messages.
BoincView is a good one to look at too, for remote control/access etc of a group of computers. Look for it here or here or here.
It's great for farms, all you need is IP address(es) of the host(s), and some settings in those files that Pooh mentioned.
I've used the 1.3 beta 2 version for ages with no problem. But you have to remember to set your firewall(s) settings for ports 1043 and 31416 ( TCP ) to allow bi-directional traffic.
