No work is being downloaded to my computer

You have 2 computers connected with one WU each.

If you want to have a small queue of work units, you may need to change you settings.

To do this, On the main web page, go to the 'your account'.
Look down the page until you see the link regarding 'edit General prefences'
Look down that page until you find 'Connect to Network about every'. It is likely set to '.1' days.

Just up this to 1 or 2 days and you will get a larger queue.

Go to the Messages tab in

Go to the Messages tab in BOINC Manager, copy the last 20 or so entries there and paste them into a reply here. That'll give us an idea of what BOINC is trying to do.

As of now, each one of your computers has one result in state "in progress".

Is there an application named *albert* running?

If you really want some help, you'll need to tell us something about where you are in the process. Have you downloaded and installed BOINC yet? Have you attempted to add a project? What error messages have you received? Etc.

That stops your computer from downloading new work. User is active means you are using the computer, typing away or moving a mouse. Same goes for the actual crunching.

This can be changed in either of two ways:

1) By changing the option Do work while computer is in use? in Your General Preferences from No to Yes. Save changes on the site. Then open Boinc Manager, Projects tab, select Einstein, press Update.

Afterwards your computer will always crunch and always have the network options open.

2) Open Boinc Manager, Activity menu, select Network activity always available.

Your computer will still wait the three minutes of idle time before it starts crunching a result, but at least the network connection is always available.

Even if you want BOINC to suspend while the computer’s otherwise in use, it’s advisable to set BOINC Manager to “Run always while you’re using or monitoring it. That way you can poke around without interfering with its functions, browse messages as they’re logged, and so on; when you’re done, switch it back to use the website preferences before closing or minimizing the window.
