If you mean the einstein work generators are off, thats not a problem.
The Albert workgenerator fixes work for ya.

I hope that is how it works

I hope that is how it works but my "messages" on the (localhost) page on this one is nothing but red text (mainly LCH) but nothing from Albert.

(btw I would edit my typo but I just noticed that since I switched over to check my other machines.......and then my tv called me to go watch some stuff)

That 60 min. limit on doing edits is not one of my favorite things here.

The status page says they

The status page says they have 100K+ work units queued (if I remember the number right). So, no need to run the work generators if we are not pulling them off that fast.

The fastest I have run an Einstein@Home work unit is 51 minutes, and that is only on the G5, and only for one set. More typical times are 2.5 to 14 hours across all my computers. So, even 10K queued would be a lot here ... besides we don't have the participant base that SETI@Home has ...

Yeah Paul,I guess I just got

Yeah Paul,I guess I just got worried about nothing.

My AMD 3200+ just sent in that last one and sure enough I got 10 more to do (plus having to wait for that 7.03MB d/l I get once in a while via the worlds slowest dialup)

When seti switched over I decided to stick to things that seem more important and more my type of subjects (LHC and Einstein)

So just like last year LHC is taking the break this time of year so I can just run Einsteins as fast as possible (new dual coming up this month since I have to buy myself the birthday present )

This 3200+ runs these Alberts around 4hrs per.
My other ones are a bit slower and I retired my old PIII and slower ones to just be email machines

Hope all is well your way Paul.

I looked at the computer I

I looked at the computer I want to buy next. sigh ... not sure when I will be able to do that ...

I have a cheapo AMD 3500 and it is taking about 4.5 hours (probably slow MB). But it was dirt cheap so what the heck.

I am like you, my "love" in science are best matched by Einstein@Home and LHC@Home. I do have to support the other projects though, they are also doing worthwhile things. Also, I have enough computer power to do a reasonable job at it.

I have been trying to get the real world research project to be the largest total amount of my contribution so my effort is to get Einstein@Home up there.

Sadly I have to dash your hopes, not all is well in Pauldom ... oh well, kinda used to it now ...

It is a necessary evil. People can post some nasty stuff, then after a couple hours come and change it, and the proof is gone. Yes if it's done in the 60 minute time limit, it still can be changed, but probably affects less people.
