Ok, any ideas why Firefox stopped launching and now App Center is refusing to launch.
I can't uninstall Firefox and re-install it if I can't open App Center.
The point is, I can't copy and paste the info you guys have ask for because I don't have a working browser on the machine. Both worked fine after the Ubuntu install.
I've tried rebooting and stopping Boinc to make sure I wasn't short on resources. I'm stumped. My lack of knowledge about Linux is not helping.

I'm not sure why your Firefox and the App Center won't run, but I've had similar problems in the past. Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS does have a few quirks within it. But I'll leave this one to the 'experts', i.e. Keith and Ian - my teammates at GPUUG.
You don't use a browser to view files. You just use the Files application to navigate to a directory and select the file with the mouse and open it for viewing with the default Text Editor application.
From your error, it seem like you don't have a working internet connection. What does the 3 computer icon in the Top Bar show for connection status?
If you have a question mark over the 3 computer icon, it indicates an issue. If that is the case, the reason why no browser is working.
There really isn't that much difference between Ubuntu 22 and 24 other than minor little UI changes where menu are located on applications.
The basic understructure is basically the same but the network working changed from Net Manager to Net Plan in 24.
You might have better luck blowing away 24 and reverting back to 22.

Why not use Google Chrome or Brave Browser, I use Linux Mint an Ubuntu offshoot, and Firefox started acting weird and wouldn't open for me so I just loaded Chrome and it works just fine.
Yes, the standalone Linux version of Chrome works fine as well. It is a .deb file installation provided directly from Google. Just download the installer.

How did you install Firefox? Firefox is installed by default during installation. Does not require one to manually install it.
Also, by default Firefox is installed as a Snap application and not a .deb file. To install, remove, or update Firefox the Snap UI is used.
Open a Terminal and type
snap list
This shows all Snap applications installed.
To refresh Firefox or any of the Snap applications type
sudo snap refresh
To remove Firefox, type
sudo snap remove Firefox
To disable Firefox, type
sudo snap disable Firefox
All functions show with
snap --help
You can also install the other default Ubuntu browser Chromium
sudo snap install Chromium
if for some reason you can't get Firefox working.

I can't view coproc_info.xml because I can't get a working browser going.
My posts are being done on my Mac.
Snap just:
error: cannot communicate with server: Post "http://localhost/v2/snaps/firefox": dial unix /run/snapd.socket: conncect: connection refused
It won't do any of the commands, and I tried installing Chromium, it just won't play nice.
I set the computer for no new tasks but will take some time to clear out the list. I'm thinking maybe dump it and drop down to Ubuntu 22.04.
