E & P cores in 12th+ Intel CPUs

Hope you are all doing well. I have a question here about using E & P cores in 12th+ Intel CPUs (maybe it is also in AMD / ARM E & P cores): how do you disable the going into E mode & not using E cores?
As you can see, my BOINC when minimized is not using E cores, only P cores. How does somebody control this "green feature" in CPUs? To answer already, I have tired already to use

So if BOINC is minimized, all E cores do not work. How did anyone of you fix that with BOINC?
Also, system is Windows 11. BOINC is v8.0.2 x64.

This would disable the cores, so I would end up with using 8 out of 12 cores. So this does not solve the issue, why the computer goes in "low state mode", while is configured in Win11 work with "High Performance Power Mode".

Same problem here. I never managed to make both P-cores and E-cores run at the same time at Boinc/Einstein.
By default only the E-cores where used which slowed imensly my CPU output.
So i had to disable the E-cores on the Bios, to force Boinc to use the P-cores only.
Has anyone got any experience

Has anyone got any experience of running these CPUs under Linux? Is the core allocation done by the CPU, or the OS? If CPU, what metrics drive the choice?
If no-one has anything to report, I have a new build arriving next week, which I intend to run under Linux Mint 22. I'll explore and report back (disabling the e-cores is not a problem in this case).

I think Linux is supposed to handle it appropriately, but I've never tried myself. I just see through some google searches that the more recent kernels have support for P+E cores. you should be on at least kernel 5.18, and ideally 6.0+
from what i've seen, the best solution is to just disable e-cores. you're not losing much performance by not having them.

Definitely excited to see what you learn- we will also be facing this question soon, if we can finish a build that has been in-progress for too long. Still working on a cooling solution (air cooling won't work well). Hopefully soon we will also be able to dig into this too. We will also be using Linux Mint so definitely let us know what you find- it will save us a great deal of time!

I have managed to make it work, but you need to put BOINC always open on you screen. Like this:
So it is always active app, but it is minimized on desktop. So I use it this way, but actively searching for another option - as this is only "a workaround".
