Is there some reason that my Pi 4 and Pi 5 SoC's don't get the FGRP5 work?
I have beta tasks allowed on their venue.
Both are AARCH64 platforms which the apps page states that Linux on ARM64 cpus app is available.
The scheduler response states no app is available for aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu platform.
But . . . I have no issues getting FGRP5 work on the aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu Jetson cpus using app_info.xml because I use custom gpu apps on those hosts.
Is it necessary to use an app_info on the Pi's also?? Shouldn't be from what I can tell from the announced platform discovery and the apps page.
i got FGRP5 on my RPi5 and Rock5 devices without an app_info.xml setup. (i didnt let them all run to completion, i was more just testing their behavior)
did you try disabling BRP4 and asking only for FGRP5 work?

No I haven't done that yet. I was wondering why I haven't seen any of that work yet and discovered I needed to set beta app for the FGRP5 app (at least if the apps page is correct and up to date).
Set beta on the venue and still get the scheduler message no app is available for the platform.
I can set up another venue without BRP4 and move them to there for some more testing.
Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this but i will do so and if you have a better forum please advise! For some time now on two of my Linux notebooks Einstein@home starts as usual and the "Show Graphics" button in not grayed out. Yet nothing happens when I push the button. That is no starsphere screensaver shows up. Both worked well before this new line of investigation,

The same sort of thing has been going on for me, too. I hope that an adjustment of some kind will be made.

Yes, disabling the BRP4 tasks on the new venue with only FGRP5 selected got FGRP5 work.
So it was the dual BRP4/G and FGRP5 app selection that caused it to ignore the Gamma Ray app.
So for some reason that does not work and the easy solution would be to employ an app_info like I do on the Jetson SoC's

[EDIT]
Same result for the Pi4.
I'm going to move them back to the original dual BRP4/FGRP5 venue and see what happens also.

Both running Ubuntu 20.10
I've tried several online help sites to no avail.
Any help will be most appreciated!

Hi John,
You might get more of a response if you were to post this in the Problems and Bug Reports section of these forums.
