I wonder if they could manage a rtx 4080?

I do not know how they did it with 4060Ti as it is supposed to have 160~165W consumption (not 115W TDP, like it says there!).

While 4060 does have ~115W, but that is without the Ti...which is also less then 3/4 shaders 6 TMUs. ;)

But as AD106 does not go in premium market of WorkStations...there is only AD104, which does from 4060 family. Which you can get in RTX 4000 version with 130W or RTX 4000 SFF with 72W version...which could end up as previous Quadro from family 4000 in single slot versions (maybe). ;)

Not to answer your question: can it be done with 4080? Not likely! As 4080 are consuming 280~400W of power, so this you can't cool with single slot card! ;)

It looks to me like a Titan V

It looks to me like a Titan V running MPS and the All-Sky GW v.1.14 should be able to manage 1.3M RAC. That looks to be around 44th place on the Top 50 list.

Not bad for a real 2 slot card that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

Ran across this on eBay.  It is cheaper than a Titan V. Has a third more theoretical FP performance.

Has less memory bandwidth and a 10 vs 12 GB memory.

So there are a couple of questions here.

  1. Will it play nice with standard Nvidia drivers?
  2. Will the smaller than Titan V memory bandwidth make any difference? It doesn't on my EVGA rtx 3080 ti.
  3. Will a third again faster 32 bit FP be a game changer compared to the Titan V?

Form factor appears to be two slot turbo blower.

As far as I can understand it, this is a rtx 3080/ti? variant.

#1 is crucial. I have had trouble with other Nvidia mining cards. #3 would make it a serious upgrade to the Titan V.

It is tempting but it could be another trip down the rabbit hole. The Titan V is a proven quantity.

Did you read this:

"This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it."

Plus, it's power draw is twice what the Titan V is.

George,

The target ASRock Epycd8 mb can get along on the mb video output if you tinker with the bios and the operating system enough.

I agree on the power draw issue. Given my budget constraints I would have to chase more income.

 Sigh.

Be very cautious with the CMP

Be very cautious with the CMP cards.

usually performance is terrible on pretty much anything but crypto mining.

Or they are "quirky" like my last round was.  It was a nice dream though...
