Hi.

I have three computers crunching data: 1 PC [AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, Nvidia GeForce 3080 10 GB, 64 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro], 1 Raspberry Pi 4 [4 GB, Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit] and 1 Raspberry Pi 5 [8 GB, Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit].

The Raspberry Pies and especially the Raspberry Pi 5 are producing up to 5 % invalid results.

What could be the cause? What can be done to avoid invalid results?

Greetings from Switzerland,

Luca

Look here for an already in progress discussion of why etc:

Thanks. In this case there

Thanks.

In this case there is nothing I can do to change that. :-(

I think I'll take the RPi5 from Einstein@home and place it on Universe@home.

I believe Universe in on their summer break until August, SiDock has short tasks for the R-Pi's and several other projects have tasks for them as well.

Aha, now I understand why I

Aha, now I understand why I couldn't download any tasks for Universe@home.

Thanks for the tip for SIDock, but I think I'll look for projects in astronomy, astrophysics, math or physics.
I am a physician (radiologist), but in my spare time I don't want to be involved in medicine or any other subjects that have any relation to medicine.

I have now started with yoyo@home. The first task is already running.

I wish you a nice and relaxing weekend. And thanks again for the tips.

If you look at the Server Status page, not for just Universe but for most all projects in BOINC, you will see how much work they have to send out.  For example:

https://universeathome.pl/universe/server_status.php

And in the case of Universe if you read this thread:

you will see the details why they are temporarily shutdown.

If you want to make a short,

If you want to make a short, simple response like the above, please use 'reply' instead of 'quote' so that you don't keep spamming the boards with all that unnecessary detail.

We really don't need multiple copies stacked one after the other like this.  Thank you.

Cheers,
Gary.
