Hi;I'm having problems

Hi;

I'm having problems uploading jobs. There is no problem while downloading, but I can't send finished jobs. This problem only occurs in All-Sky missions. Other tasks can be sent without any problems.

Your tasks list on the

Your tasks list on the website shows 4 all-sky tasks returned not long after you posted.

Maybe it was some sort of temporary blockage?

Cheers,
Gary.

Credits for the GW searches

Credits for the GW searches weren't updated for quite some time. Sorry. Newly validated tasks should receive 5000 instead of 1000 credit.

Thank you, Bernd!  That is much appreciated by many, I'm sure.

I agree. That’s a welcome

I agree. That’s a welcome change for how intense these tasks are.

Had a run of 6 consecutive tasks this morning, which all failed with "Exit status:196 (0x000000C4) EXIT_DISK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED".

TASKS FOR COMPUTER 12808716 (filtered)

Machine has a 2 TB SSD dedicated to BOINC, and has been processing tasks successfully before and since - I think it's the tasks, rather than my machine.

double-check/confirm the BOINC disk usage settings. I just ran a couple of these tasks and they completed fine/normal.

My settings are:

  • Use no more than 1,250 GB
  • Leave at least 1 GB
  • Use no more than 90%

At boot time, that translates to Disk: 1.79 TB total, 1.44 TB free

I don't think that will cause any problems at Einstein: I think the cause is more likely to be

<rsc_disk_bound>104857600.000000</rsc_disk_bound> (100 MB)

in the workunit specification. Einstein@Home as a whole is currently using 19.94 GB

You are correct.  Either those are some botched tasks, or the upper limit needs to be increased server side.  Nothing you can do user side, as that is a setting that needs to be configured server side. That is a problem on LHC that crops up on certain runs.

Is there a possibility to

Is there a possibility to exclude these "special" WUs without withdraw all GPU Jobs in general?

I received in beetween 770 WUs - they are all invalid because the GPU has not enough RAM.

For other Boinc Projects I have to open GPU general possibility.

From time to time Einstein sends other GPU Wu which I can crunch.
