I can't start Einstein on my machine - whenever I try, I get this message:
4/18/2023 11:40:14 AM | Einstein@Home | Scheduler request failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates
How can I fix this?
Running Win 7, but it works on my other machine, X99SSLIPLUS. Also, when I try to d/l NVIDIA drivers, it does download, but when it executes, all it does is extract the files, but then they disappear, before it can run.
Help, please!

What version of BOINC? Might need to install a newer version with updated certificates or manually update them.

The latest Windows client

The latest Windows client removes the embedded ca-bundle.crt package and reverts to using the Windows installed package.
But there are now reported cases of that not working correctly on some hosts.
The solution for those hosts is to revert back to updating the local Boinc data directory package to current certificates.

You can download the latest *.crt ie the certificates files here:

I managed to fix both

I managed to fix both problems I was having.
1) Per the suggestions above, I simply d/l BOINC 7.20.2 and installed it, which killed the certificate error on my older machine (JonR-WS).
2) Not booting. This turned out to be that somehow I had slid the BIOS switch from A to B without realizing it, And B had no BIOS installed. So naturally it did not even try to boot. When I reset the switch to BIOS A, all was OK, including the fact that it was a recent enough BIOS to recognize the i7-6850k, That'll teach me.
