Believe it or not, it was from my 3950X and before I took it out I had down-clocked it to ~125W and it was STILL running at 3.9 GHz at <75॰C @ 75॰-80॰F. Now I have up-clocked it to 4.125 GHz ~155W and it still is at <75॰C.

Once upon a time I worked at Best Buy/Geek Squad, and had more than a few systems come through from smokers' households. nasty orange dust/tar mess that gunked up everything.

I worked on a friends pc one

I worked on a friends pc one time, it was years ago now, and when I opened the cat it was literally PACKED FULL of cat hair, it was so thick the fans didn't even spin, it's no wonder every time he turned it on it turned itself right back off again. I asked him about the hair once I got it all cleaned out and he said the cat LOVED laying against the pc and it was a long hair cat so it makes sense, he was a genius at what he did, government contractor for the USNavy, but he literally had zero clue about computers, I also repaired his laptop 3 times after he THREW it into his car after a meeting that didn't go the way he wanted it to go. I used SpinRite to repair the harddrive and after 3 days the first time and 10 days the second time it came back to life!! The third time it said it was going to take over 20 days so he took it to his work IT people and they gave him a brand new drive with Windows etc all reloaded onto it. He didn't lose any work stuff as it was all Server based but he did have to reload all of his personal stuff back onto it.
He worked on submarines on things like the new periscopes that are based in a container outside the sub and go up and back down in about 60 seconds max and do a quick spin around taking a digital movie that can then be shared with anyone that needs it. He also worked on torpedos that can be attached by a wire and go out and cut mines etc and then return back inside the torpedo tube when they are done. I'm sure he did alot more he couldn't talk about but those parts were pretty cool to me as an old USNavy vet who never set foot on a sub. Now I can tell you that subs get SEVEN layers of paint, ALL ROLLED with a paint roller, on them and they are FRICKING HUGE when in a drydock like we did when I was in Scotland a very long time ago now.

Seriously. I broke down a year+ ago and bought a plug in blower with multiple snouts. And it has paid for its self in convenience. And out of pocket costs.
I no longer have to gripe about my grand son borrowing my canned air.

I've seen worse in that there were moving life forms inside. Probably because it was warmer than the outside room.
We'll leave it at that.

I sold a teammate a pc a few years ago and he finally got a much better one so I paid the shipping to send it back to me, after he shipped it he told me it was FULL of spiders and foam peanuts!! I got it from the UPS store and immediately put it in a trash bag and sprayed ALOT of spider and other critter killer inside the bag, I didn't even remove the pc from the box it was in. After a couple of months, I moved in between, I opened it up in the yard and all the bugs were dead and all the peanuts etc went back into the trash bag and then the trash bin. The pc is up and running today and doing just fine as a Linus pc.
