WOO HOO!! You can go wind surfing and all those wind turbines could be either spinning like tops if it's windy or stuck if they freeze solid

Burrrrrrr....  from Kansas,

Burrrrrrr....  from Kansas, USA (central 48 state region).

High today's 20F?  By Thursday morning the snow should have stopped but have predicted -6F and not warming up soon.

Tom,

Your temps are coming my way by Thur & Fri, and the snow will be of who-knows accumulation, but the wind.....

50-60 MPH with wind chills down to -30॰F (-34॰C) by Friday.  I don't mind the cold weather, but that is ridiculous!

Drink more alcohol for the "anti-freeze" effect?

It's supposed to be in the mid 60's on Thursday at my place  then it will be down near freezing for highs on Saturday and Sunday. Then next week it will be back up near 50F again after that. We usually get something like this every year around the end of the year, some years it even stays below freezing for a whole day but then pops right back up near 50 again the next day.

Now I will pay for this 'moderate' Winter in the Summertime when it's near 100 for June, July and then August the near 100% humidity will be here as well, though the sea breezes do help it's STILL hot hot HOT!!!

Oh...  I'm stocked up on 'alcohol' alright, and I intend to... I've got one of each of the following:

  • Jim Beam Black Label
  • Jack Daniel's Black Label
  • Absolute Vodka
  • Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
  • Captain Morgan Long Island Iced Tea
  • DiSaronno Liqueur
  • Rumchata
  • Chivas Regal

Except for Rumchata & Chivas Regal which are new & full, all the rest are full (or partially full) bottles @ 1.75ml each.

You bet you'll pay for it!  It may get hot here too, but not as hot and humid as you get...  thank goodness!

I like 'Ol Smokey Salted Caramel bourbon for sipping, it goes down REALLY smoothly and WAAAY too fast if you let it!! For the bourbon I use in mixed stuff I usually like Canadian Club but any cheap Canadian will do in a pinch. I am not a Rye or Scotch guy, the guy at the liquor store said if you Rye you will probably like Scotch too and vice versa so it makes sense to me.

Oh and I didn't say I was worried after all on Saturday I'm headed part way towards you for Christmas with the grandkids in St Louis, MO. It's a short trip though, they have parties etc to go to after Christmas so we will back home on Wednesday when it will be back in the mid 50's again here and the next day it will be in the 60's!!
