And then he followed up that he was mistaken just as I though he was. Making his original post irrelevant. He said the tablet as an example of devices that have this kind of device. He said the Nvidia shield TV also, but that never came with the K1.
A K1 exists, and specs are easy to find with a Google search. But it doesn’t matter because that’s not the device he has. He’s confirmed the X1+ with 2GB of memory, and as far as I can tell, that one matches a single device, Nvidia Shield TV (2019), the smaller tube shape one. The Pro version has 3GB memory, and older versions have the X1 and not X1+
"JetPack 4.6 will be the last major release for Jetson Nano, Jetson Nano 2GB, Jetson TX1, and Jetson TX2 series (Jetson TX2 NX, Jetson TX2, Jetson TX2 4GB and Jetson TX2i) and will also support Jetson Xavier NX and Jetson AGX Xavier series. After JetPack 4.6, the JetPack 4 codeline will transition into a sustaining mode with continued software support via JetPack 4.x releases for security updates and critical bug fixes for all the supported modules mentioned above."

first edit etc/apt/sources.list.d/nvidia-l4t-apt-source.list to point to the 35.1 repo (just change the version to r35.1 in both lines)
sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade
reboot
We'll see how it goes
I assume it did not go well since I see no host with any sign of Jetpack 5.0 on them. Your Nano is still running Jetpack 4.6 with Ubuntu 18.04.06 with kernel 4.9.140 on it.
Well it did go through. (Even though it may not have updated everything but that system is so confusing with the package naming and such, that I have no clue whatsoever)
Yes that conversation explains what you did. You did not update the important bits of the installation.
The main reason for wanting a newer installation is to get a newer kernel and a newer glibc which a complete Ubuntu 20.04 release would get you.
The only way to do that is drop the L4T distros and install the standard Ubuntu distros.
I've read somewhere the process that preserves all the Nvidia development resources with a Ubuntu 20.04 LTS installation. I'll have to find that post again.

based on the specs he listed (X1+ and 2GB memory) sounds like he has the 2019 Nvidia Shield TV (tube)

Nvidia Shield Tablet is up
)
Nvidia Shield Tablet is up and crunching BRP4 tasks on an internal GPU taking about 50 minutes for two tasks in parallel.
Some of them are already validated.
Probably it might be useful for someone so I just:
1. Followed this link and installed Ubuntu 14.04 on Shield Tablet.
2. Didn't try to upgrade Ubuntu as link suggested.
3. Installed boinc.
4. Installed cuda 6.0.5
5. Provided app_info.xml and an application that is successfully working on my Nvidia Tegra TK1s.
I'm going to switch to BRP4G task to see how long it might take.
