Does anyone know how to limit

Does anyone know how to limit tasks to only ones that support native apple silicon?

The only tasks I've gotten running on m1 native are the Gamma-ray pulsar search tasks, but it seems that Binary Radio Pulsar Search are much more common.

This would be better responded to if it were posted in the Cruncher's Corner.

The Mac BOINC Client on Apple

The Mac BOINC Client on Apple Silicon reports both a (native) platform (arm64-apple-darwin) and, if it finds Rosetta2 installed such that it can run x86_64 apps as well, an "alternative" platform (x86_64-apple-darwin). It seems like the Client has no configuration option to suppress the "alternative" platform - maybe that would be a good feature to add ("run only native apps") to the BOINC client. Until that I can only recommend to watch the application page for Apple Silicon native apps and select only these in the project-specific preferences.

Yes, it has that option in cc_config.xml.

<cc_config>
 <options>
  <no_alt_platform>1</no_alt_platform>
 </options>
</cc_config>

Works at least on x86_64 to suppress x86, had to remove it to get FGRP5 work here.

Oh thanks! I remembered it

Oh thanks! I remembered it vaguely, but couldn't find it at first glance. That should help on Apple Silicon to get only native work then.

Just we have had many campaigns in the world to free assorted things (free willy?).

Now we can start a campaign to free Bernard's hand....
