Hi all,
I'm trying to get both Einstein and SETI running on My Mac Dual G5 (OS X 10.3.9). In the BOINC manager, under the projects tab all I ever see for status is "Scheduler request pending" for both.
Under the Work tab I see one work unit for SETI which constantly shows 0% progress and status "Downloading" and nothing for Einstein.
I've uninstalled everything and styarted again once and got exactly the same results. Can some one suggest a way to get it moving and do some work?
Many thanks,
K.

same here. "scheduler pending" is always there. although SETI@home does work when i move the cursor to the sleep corner. no sign of the einstein project i attached though. it reported failure each time i tried.
additionally, none of the buttons on the project manager screen under "web sites" do anything.
I can't address the scheduler

I can't address the scheduler problem for you, though someone more qualified will before too long.
As far as the Buttons, have you tried them after selecting (highlighting) one of the Projects, on the Projects tab? Doing so should open whatever is your default browser.

RE: As far as the Buttons,

yeah, i have a project selected when i try. the buttons change configuration depending on whether its einstein or seti. the rollover help text even pops up for each button, and in the lower left i see a flicker of text that says "launching browser". but nothing actually happens, and i already have my browser launched (Firefox is default). it fails to launch when i quit the browser.
hey gilbert. have you tried

hey gilbert. have you tried restarting after installation? after researching it further (i.e. reading the forums, rereading the installer readme etc), it's apparently pretty vital that you restart your computer after installation. even though the installer doesn't require it (very un-mac like).
also, setting the screen saver option using the mac's system prefs is a new way of doing things, and seems to be required for any graphics to show up.
my boinc seems to be working now, both seti and einstein. restarting was the key.
