Agreed, I always change to total.  Why would it matter if you did loads of work this year or last, it's the total that's the only important thing.  When I want to see how well I've done in a project, I always look at how many people I'm overtaking in the overall score.

The current Arecibo large work units can take up to 13 hours if a number are run together but that is not a problem (getting less credit than gamma ray #5 is).

I would just like to run some new CPU work.

There's plenty to do on CPU.  The CPU queue for gamma is huge (2 years), and a lot of radio stuff has been ported to run on CPU (BRP4G).

BERND!  Could you fix the status page for radio please?  The thing in the bottom right doesn't look like it's moved for years.

I will eventually, as soon as I get to it. The machinery behind it is much more complicated than you might think, and has changed quite a bit recently. I'm aware of it, but the progress displays currently are the least of my worries.

Ok fair enough, don't take yourself away from important things.

I was delighted to see a BRP7 column created, should I be expecting some new radio work on GPUs shortly?

It is not the amount of work that I was referring to.

CPU users have a choice of 2 work unit types, GPU have had up to 4 (I think) more than this, at least till recently.

I know there is plenty of work to keep me going but it would be nice to run some new stuff too.

Not complaining just wondering, I know it is hard to beat a GPU at certain things but can be fun trying.

I know that speed of results is what matters, but I was asking anyway.

Gravity I think was GPU only, and only modern GPUs too, most of mine wouldn't run it.  But CPU can do the other two.  Not sure what you think you're missing out on.  Currently GPU only has gamma, CPU has gamma and radio.

My Ryzen 9 3900XT CPU puts up a reasonable fight against a Radeon R9 280X.  Yes I know, I tend to acquire old GPUs and I have a new CPU.  But GPU prices are beyond a joke, I ain't spending more on a GPU than my car!

CPUs can do stuff GPUs can't, most biology is CPU only.  If you want astrophysics, a CPU is needed for Universe.

As I said before, I ain't spending more on a GPU than my car, which was $600 and still running 5 years and 50K miles later!  I mean 5K miles later, that's what I told the insurance, I must be mistaken.#

And that advert is a good example of why I don't use Amazon.  Who am I buying it from?  It's "fulfilled by Amazon", so they store and ship them, but who are they sold by?  No indication of this on the page.

Gravitational Wave O3AS search was GPU-only.

However, the earlier O2MD search had both CPU and GPU tasks.
