TN-GRID?

It is not listed as a BOINC project?

They said they don't need lots of people, it's a small project.  Go to http://gene.disi.unitn.it/test/ and create an account, the invitation code is on the home page and is science@tn.  Then add it to your computers using http://gene.disi.unitn.it/test/

If this page takes an hour to load, reduce posts per page to 20 in your settings, then the tinpot 486 Einstein uses can handle it.

Universe is my fault.  Me and my team are hammering it for the boinc pentathlon.

weird flex, but not really. your team only contributed about 10% of the results from the top-5 teams yesterday. and it looks like the top player on your team is an American XS transplant doing the bulk of the work... lol.

our team with only 5 active members contributed more yesterday, and we aren't even competing, this is what we do all the time.

but even accounting for the bunker reporting today/now, P3D is doing twice TSBT. so i wouldnt say you or even your team are responsible.

but really it's not the "fault" of any one team (let alone 'person'). it's so many tasks being reported at the same time and DDoS-ing the server. it can barely handle all the network traffic. (this has nothing to do with the SSDs). that's why people are having trouble uploading tasks.

Ours is the leading team with a country name.  The company names don't count.  Who's patriotic to a review company for goodness sake?

In the last three years, we got gold, gold, bronze overall for the whole thing, including the fake teams.

It's not a DDOS, that has to be malicious, this is just stupidity, on the part of the organisers.  They should not announce before the start date which project will be done, and they should not have bonus days, then there would be no bunkering.

what do you mean "we"? you just joined that team 3 weeks ago LOL. you had nothing to do with what happened in the last 3 years. it's like moving to a new city and then pretending you're the biggest fan of their sports team. very weird.

DDoS = Distributed Denial of Service. it does not have to be malicious even though it's colloquially attributed to an intentional attack. but simply having too many requests than the server can handle is the same thing. It's a denial of service (DoS) caused by multiple clients from different origins (D), is it not? No one means to disrupt the service by contributing on BOINC/Universe but the combined weight of all clients still leads to just that.

there would still be bunkering. because many of those guys speculatively bunker hoping to get lucky on the pick. your American "teammate" did this with Einstein. look at his Einstein bunker drop yesterday LOL. I'm sure he still has more.

The team.

I only just heard of them.

What's weird is the conclusions you jump to.  When I spoke of the last 3 years I was pointing out you were wrong to say they're a shit team.  I never mentioned my part in those 3 years.

It's what it means.  From cloudflare, the DDOS protectors: "A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service or network by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a flood of Internet traffic."

DDOS is equatable to murder.  If I don't mean to kill you, it's manslaughter.

Einstein?  Not on the cards for the pentathlon, might be another race.  If he was hoping to use it in this race, he would still be holding them.

In the case of football, most of the players aren't of that nationality.  Now that's ridiculous.

The top guy in the team is actually Polish.

And I'm 15th.

is selective comprehension a symptom of Napolean complex?

please quote where I said that. I'll wait. I never said anything of the sort.

"we" is a pronoun that includes yourself. I know scots speak a dialect of English, but I'm pretty sure "we" has the same meaning. when you say we, you are including yourself. if you wanted to not include your part, you would use "they". but you didn't.

the key distinction is the inclusion of the word "attack" which I did not say. I didnt say it's a "DDoS attack" I said it's a "DDoS". the former implies maliciousness, the latter does not.

this hyperbolic mental gymnastics is not even able to be responded to.

I'm aware, he (Pecos) bunkered Einstein before the projects were announced. that's the point. with the hopes that Einstein would be one of the projects in the event. but it wasn't and he dumped them since there's no point to hold longer. the start date of the event was known for a while, but the projects were not. so one had the opportunity to speculativelybunker on projects with long enough deadlines. he all but admitted to it on the pentathlon website chat.

top on the Universe TSBT in all total points, RAC, and daily numbers (since we are talking about Universe and the impact to that project) is PecosRiverM, American. who came to TSBT from the XtremeSystems "fake" team. If he's ethnically Polish, that's not really relevant. there are lots of Polish Americans.
