I love how I was struggling to get a decent GPU and Ian&Steve just made a Linux machine with 7 RTX 2080 TI :D
Only the first gpu is listed by type and then it starts counting up the total number, so yes he could have 7 RTX 2080 Ti's in the machine but he could also have 1 RTX 2080 Ti and 6 Nvidia 750 Ti's just as well. You would have to look at the tasks for each gpu and I'm not sure the data gives you that fine of a look.

It was turned off for me by default, so I turned it on and crunched for a short while...
The average time per WU was 23% slower on a 3060ti LHR 8GB so I turned it off rather quickly after the first few WUs were returned being fully crunched under the new setting.
Wow! I'm glad I decided to read this thread! Turning off the GPU settings as described here instantly dropped my crunch times on my 3080ti!! (I'm running Windows 11 pro BTW) I would guess they fell by at least 20 percent if not more. Great find!

I can confirm this works on my 2080ti machine as well. Everyone running Windows 10 or 11 should switch off these settings, unless gaming is your highest priority..

Actually I don't even think it would help with gaming, maybe the outcome would be even the same. Read somewhere that this setting is only helpful for machines with low-end-gpus.

I may re-run some benchmarks just to see....
I'm still surprised by the huge difference it made. Usually you have to make a change and then let it run for a few hours to see the difference, not with this! You'll see the difference in the very first task it runs after restarting your computer.

I’ve had this system running for over a year. But more recently I’ve replaced some of them with 3080Tis. It currently has 3x 3080Ti and 4x 2080Ti.
