I have the 4.19er client with einstein4.72.exe working. But as soon as the client is switching between SETI and Einstein, I'm getting the following message:
Result ... exited with zero status but no 'finished' file
If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.

I've resetted the project but the message occures anyway.
I've recognized that the processing time of the Einstein WU is much slower than it should be.

I also get that message from time to time and I alwas ignore it. I haven't had any other errors whit the units that error was shown for and they got credit to.

The next time that this happens, can you please use 'update project' to upload this completed result, so that we can look at it? You need to do this before resetting the project.

I've had a few results exit

I've had a few results exit with zero status but no 'finished' file, and as far as I can recall they just start processing again, probably from the last checkpoint.

Good - we've put in a workaround for this bug -- that's what is supposed to happen.

This happens to me, but only

This happens to me, but only on my P3-500 128K ram Win98 box. It happens to Seti units alot, I'll start paying attention to the Einstein units. I notice it's only on my Win98 box though.

This has happened to me but

This has happened to me but with SETI and CPDN. I have my setting to leave in memory between switches. From my experience, it occurred right after I opened programs that eat up virtual memory. Maybe the aplications get dumped from virtual memory, and since they were suspended, they don't save anything, hence the error Result ... exited with zero status but no 'finished' file.

no problems to report, but

no problems to report,

but a question regarding the following:

Leave applications in memory while preempted? ___ (suspended applications will consume swap space if 'yes')

for my system _ which would be better and safer for the Einstein @ home work unit __ for me to select select __ yes or no ?

I don't care how long a Einstein @ home work unit takes to crunch __ as long as Einstein @ home _ receives good reliably scientific Data from my computer crunching :)

I am running Boinc 4.19 _ app. Einstein _ 4.72

WXPSP2 _ Dell Precision __ Work Station 650 __ -1MB L2Cache ___ Memory 1GB __ so my computer is crunchinf 4 __ EAH __ WU __ at once

This seems to be happening

This seems to be happening regularly, at least for me. This is CC 4.19

Same problem here. Running CC 4.65 on kernel 2.6.10.
CPU: P4 with hyperthreading, boinc limited to one cpu.
I run einstein, seti and cpdn. The problem always shows as seti and einstein running together. Top shows both using about 50% cpu. seti is marked as running (R), einstein is marked as (S).
When I shutdown the boinc process with a SIGTERM, all clients are removed from memory, except seti. Seti remains in memory, but isn't using the cpu anymore. (0%cpu)

I seem to be having the same

I seem to be having the same problem. I'm running a PowerBook G4 (1 GHz, 1 GB RAM) using BOINC boinc_4.19_ppcG4test (optimized client from Team MacNN) and einstein_4.77_powerpc-apple-darwin. I'm also running SETI (setiathome_4.3_ppcG4.7450.altivec) and CPDN (hadsm3_4.03_powerpc-apple-darwin), with preferences set for all at 100, contact once per day, and run 2 hours at a time. Here was the first problem:
