OK. I am convinced that having both Microsoft Defender and Avast Free in operation could be what is causing my problems. However while reviews of Defender declare that it is an improvement by Microsoft. it still has some shortcomings. On the other-hand, I have used Avast Free for many years and am very comfortable with it. So this leaves the question, should I get rid of Microsoft Defender or Avast Free?? If the decision is dump Avast, this is easily accomplished. However dumping Defender seems tricky. Could I please get some help with the dumping of Defender if this seams the best option. If I go ahead with dumping Avast (and Super Anti Spyware, which I don't have a problem dumping this anyway), I want to be able to restore Avast and dump Defender if this fails to solve my issue. Until I get this this resolved, I apparently have no option but to shut down all GPU Einstein tasks!
Microsoft Defender should automatically disable itself when it recognizes that a proper trusted alternative AV software wants to take the lead. That may not happen with free versions of alternative AV softwares which then can lead to conflicts. Uninstalling Microsoft Defender is not necessary.

There are great tools called "browsers" where one can enter a search time like for example "Microsoft Defender against Avast".

You won't be able to "dump" MS Defender because it is an integral part of Windows. You can disable it though if you do have another AV suite installed such as Avast. I, too, have used Avast with Windows, so you can do it with a little reading.
As for Einstein giving you a "Christmas present", that just means that you are running Gamma-Ray Pulsar Binary Search #1 on your GPU. It does that for every GRP task completed. You may want to disable any/all other GPU tasks as they don't play well together, including the other Einstein GPU tasks. And if you're running any other project, Milkyway for example, and also have it set to run GPU tasks, be prepared for Milkyway to over ride the Einstein GPU tasks and continue on with Milkyway tasks on your GPU. As I said, disable any and all other tasks, at least until you have enough experience to actively manipulate your preferences to avoid such details.
I'd recommend studying this closely for starters and maybe even experiment a little with the settings/preferences.

You have many projects running for an Nvidia card with only 2 GB of video memory. Make sure that you are only running one GPU project at a time.
You may want to de-select all projects except for Einstein and Milkyway, and run Einstein on your GPU and Milkyway on your CPU. If you're interested in getting more bang for your buck, you may want to run Universe on you CPU also, or instead of Milkyway. It gives more credits than Milkyway, anyway.
Of course, you could always upgrade to a better GPU with at least 4 GB of memory. But, I don't know you're budget or willingness issues.

I tried using Universe for extra credits and the downloads are working fine, but the Universe credits are NOT SHOWING UP in Boinc User Stats or Free DC User Stats. My only option appears to be to only run Milkyway@home CPU Stats in BOINC, or just drop doing BOINC completely (which will save me Computer Power Costs for 24 hour operation!). I thank you all for your help, but I am at the end of my line. Have a happy New Year!!
Have you tried removing avast? And just running defender? If nothing else to at least eliminate that as a possible issue. Personally I would trust Microsoft defender over any free AV.

you might also try to eliminate the drivers as being an issue. Totally remove them by booting into safe mode (need to be in safe mode for complete driver removal) and running the DDU application (just Google “DDU” or “Display Driver Uninstaller” if you’re not familiar with it). Make sure to check the option in DDU settings that will disable Windows automatically installing drivers through windows update. Then boot back into windows and install fresh Nvidia drivers custom install, without GeForce experience. Then try again.

There are two methods... "Uninstall using the Avast Uninstall Utility" or "Uninstall via the Windows Start menu" (easier)
Personally I like to run Eusing Free Registry Cleaner and remove everything it finds after making that kind of changes. https://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm And reboot once more.
