Where Did My GPU Credits Go?

Both of my crunchers run about 400 GPU WUs/day, and a handful of CPU ones/day, since I only have a few threads available for them since I changed my dual E5-2780 V2 CPUs for X99 single CPU machines. Still running the same GPUs, and they give me about the same amount of work/day as before, or maybe a little more since my new CPUs are faster than the old. The changeover took place a few months ago. But things have changed drastically recently, starting about 10 days ago:

I had been going along at roughly 400K credits/day per machine for a long while, but now, on both, the Pendings are going up by about 400/day (+/-). and credit/day has gone way down to well under 100K for the last week or so. Very few invalids, so that's not the problem. What is going on? Am I the only one crunching this particular batch? How can I find out? Was I naughty, so no credits?

Recently (10 days ago) one of the Gravitational Wave validators was turned off and that's also the type of work unit you are racking up unvalidated - it doesn't seem like the validator will be back up soon though... I switched off the Gravitational Wave subproject shortly after the validator dropped offline - the Fermi gamma-ray work units seem to give more credits/hour as well.

Thanks for the info and the link...

Why would the validator (and only that one) be turned off? Does anyone know why and for how long? And why are the WUs still being sent out, if they are not serious about it?

Also, I do both this and Gamma Ray; why aren't those being distributed (for GPU)?

Is Einstein about to pull a SETI and go offline?

O3AS1a validator is disabled while the O3AS1a work generator is going to the end (1125 tasks to send).  O3AS1a has 68 days left, suggesting that it will be re-evaluated at the end.  This was a project that was started as a temporary project task, and the folks at Einstein will need to evaluate the results before making it a permanent one.  They cannot do that if the project is running continuosly.

Do you have the Gamma Ray (FGRPB1G) selected for GPUs in preferences? Mine and others are getting FGRPB1G tasks just fine.

No, Einstein is one of the more consistent projects out there and continually gives work 99.9% of the time.

with both the gamma Ray and gravitational wave tasks allowed on the client, your client will always skew towards GW. This is a consequence in the way BOINC calculates work distribution, the old BOINC server version that the project uses, and the wildly inaccurate flops estimation that the project sets for both task types.

if you want GR work consistently, you have to turn off GW completely

Hello.1) It seems to me

Hello.

1) It seems to me strange and even incorrect that the distribution of tasks for which points are not awarded continues.

2) And it's also strange that this is not widely publicized.

3) And I do not understand: where to find out when this problem will be solved and the problems of gravitational waves will be correctly taken into account?

In Project prefs for home I

In Project prefs for home I selected all the apps (cpu and gpu). Both crunchers are set for home, as well.

Why am I not getting any Gamma ray wus? I used to, at times. In fact, there were a couple of sequences when I got as many GR GPU wus as I can compute, with no or very few GW GPU WU, and then my credits were 1,000,000 or more for several days.

CRUNCHER-AMERICAN, I believe

Cruncher-American, I believe you will have to uncheck the GW apps from your project preferences to get the Gamma Ray WUs. Per Ian&Steve C.'s comment above, when you have all apps checked, the assignment for the GW WUs has a higher preference.

Ok, I turned off the 3 GW

Ok, I turned off the 3 GW  checkmarks, let's see what happens overnight...
