Would I benefit from changing my GPU Utilization Factor?

My new rig has for CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x (16 thread) and for the GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 (12G memory).

Ive got my settings at 50% of CPUs running at 100%. This then gives me 1 GPU wu (4:50 per) and 7 CPU wus (aprox 8 hours). The GPU seems to run at 96% non stop except between wus. Im getting around 860k RAC daily. The PC is liquid cooled running at 72c. This is my daily driver so I kinda like the 50% setting. Im not trying to be greedy, just wondering if theres a more efficient way of going at the settings.

Generally for Nvidia cards,

Generally for Nvidia cards, 1X per gpu is best.  Only the Titan cards or the 3090 may benefit from running 2X per gpu.

Try it for yourself.  Set to use 2X per gpu and see if the times reported for the new tasks is less than half the 1X reported times.

Most likely no. 1x will be

Most likely no. 1x will be the best.

with early 2021 win10 drivers

with early 2021 win10 drivers my 3070 would end up having a WU fail into a state where it neither progressed nor errored out in a reasonable amount of time with 2 tasks running in parallel.

I have been playing around

I have been playing around with this for a while with the RTX A6000s and I am getting the best results running 3 WU at a time, per GPU. I am only running E@H on the GPUs and then WCG on the CPU. What exactly about NVIDIA GPUs is the "limiting factor" when it comes to the efficiency of completing work units?

I find it hard to believe

I find it hard to believe that running 1 at a time isn’t the best for production, have you tried just 1? Literally everyone else with Nvidia cards experiences that.

looking at your tasks, if the most recent are indeed at 3x, your tasks are running in 430 seconds. That’s an effective rate of one task every 143 seconds. running one task should be faster than this.

I won't be back in front of

I won't be back in front of the workstation for a week due to the holidays but I will try to come up with these numbers from memory. I ran 1 task at a time for a while and if I am not mistaken, it took over 3 minutes per task. 2 tasks took around 5:30, and 3 tasks (which is what I am currently running) takes around 7:15. Once again, that is all from memory and is not exact.
