      Even with all this fast GPU's, we are not able to process data from the fermi telescope in real time.

       

      How much more compute power would be needed to achieve that?

        Might also need faster internet connections. And faster boinc servers.

          and quickly climbing the participant and host leaderboards. shouldnt be too long before I break into the top 10 on both fronts.

          not bad for only 5 Nvidia hosts

            I'll be happy if I can make it to 1 Billion by the end of November with just 2 hosts (3 GPUs).

                  I will never make it to one billion here and just hope to make it to 500 million since I am getting close to starting my 18th non-stop year here ( my 18th year at Cern begins in 10 days)

                  I wouldn't mind getting that *pure luck* Certificate but I would rather get a dollar for each Credit here

                  Imagine the Threadrippers and video cards I could buy then AND the power bill I could pay

                    It looks like you have given in gracefully to your wife. You have a much larger farm pictured than you appear to be running currently.

                    Some gtx 1060's might speed you towards your goal. Or a gtx 1660 super.

                      Made it to 10 million credits. Took 1 year 7 months running Ryzen 7 1700 16 proc. on a Linux box devoted to this project.
