iMac running Big Sur 11.4  Intel I5 16GB of memory.

About once every week and a half I find one task marked as 100% complete but still shows running and not getting uploaded.  Retry upload does not help.   The other two tasks show increasing progress.

It's just not done cleaning up the file to send back so just let it run, if it turns into 'too long' try suspending Boinc, not just the task, and then resuming Boinc and see if that helps. Some tasks need alot of cleanup at the end while others don't, I don't know if that means anything like you found something or if there is a problem with the task and it can't figure out how to resolve it so it just keep trying if just is the way some tasks go.

I've let it run 3 days once.

I've let it run 3 days once.  I wish there was a way to see what it is actually doing?  I don't see anything odd in the event log.

I also tried stopping BOINC

I also tried stopping BOINC completely waiting a few minutes then rebooting the computer  which restarted everything backup.  LATeah1083F_1288.0_1909560_0.0_0 still shows 100% and still running.  I'm not sure what else I can try.

I believe this is the third time this has happened in the last month or so.

I have three macs running einstein@home.  This I5 Intel imac, an M1 mac mini and one older mac mini Core2 duo.  This only happens on the I5 Intel iMac.   This iMac and the M1 mac mini are both running Big Sur 11.4 the older mac mini is running El Capitan 10.11.6

I have 6 older Dells running Mint Linux also running Einstein@home none of them have this problem.

Just abort the task and move on to the next one, stop wasting time on it

This morning I have two tasks

This morning I have two tasks stuck.  Both stuck at 89.979%  I was hoping that upgrading to the latest version of BOINC would fix this.   I'll let them run until tomorrow before aborting them.  Is this happening to anyone else besides me?

Edit...Oddly they both sat at 89.979 for a long time then within minutes went to 100% and got uploaded.

My latest HP laptop, with a Ryzen 5 4500U CPU is running both CPU and GPU GW tasks without problems. It used to run also GRP GPU tasks but there are none available. A Linux Virtual machine on a Windows 10 host with a SuSE Tumbleweed OS and kernel 5.13.12 is also running both GW and gamma-ray CPU tasks. Being a Virtual machine it can not use  the GTX 1060 of its Windows host.

I have 6 older Dells running

I have 6 older Dells running Linux that run without having this proble.  My M1 mac-mini does not have this nor does my older mac-mini.  Only the very new I5 Intel iMac.  When these get stuck at 100% and never finish after 3 or 4 days I abort them.  About 95% of the tasks are processed without problems.  But about once a week or so one will get stuck at 100% and never finish.  I am not going to invest any more time on this.  Thanks for all the advice and help.
