For you new members the

For you new members the actual parameter is "Run test applications?:" under Project, {your preference set/location}.  set it to "yes".  if you do not see "Run test applications" click on "Beta Settings" to show "Run Test apps".

Thank you all for the help, found the beta setting and switched it on. Now time to wait and keep an eye on new downloads whenever they come in.

Interestingly, the tasks on

Interestingly, the tasks on the new beta app are actually running faster on my 3070 than the old app, even though the extra checks should've slowed it down.  I'm seeing 6.5-7m/task vs 8-8.5m before.

The 3001-series tasks which failed on modern Nvidia cards ran to completion in about 2/3 the time of the long-established norm on the several types of cards which were able to run them without new applications.

Additional data point. I

Additional data point.

I am having the same issue with a Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB running on Win 10, 16GB(normally 32GB but working RMA issue), SSD with up-to-date drivers running BOINC 7.16.11. Normally, this system sits all week without being touched. However, when I noticed the work it provided went way down on my Account page, I started investigating noticing the LATeah300X jobs were going VERY slow. It stated it was CPU+GPU but used less than 1% of GPU time, suspending and resuming deleted all of the progress so I aborted it as it was 15 days overdue. Back to normal on h1_0X jobs which are normally sitting around 18%, occasionally spiking to 70%.

Thanks to Bernd for updating us and saving my sanity!

Regards,

-Nic
