I had to build a new system as my last one died.
Without thinking I restored a lot of my data from the old system and re-ran BOINC -- it assumed the old computer ID of course (12570931) but it's a new system with a new architecture.
Is this a problem, if so, how should I fix it? Delete the BOINCD directory and start fresh?
Can the results I've posted over the last week be reassigned?

I see two hosts on your account. The original one from 2017 and the new one from today. Two different host ID's as expected. If you are running on the old host ID then just delete the new computer ID since it doesn't have any work on it yet.
BOINC will figure out the hardware on its own.

If the results are valid everything is working fine and okay. NO you can't 'reassign' the tasks due to ongoing security stuff built into the system. Lots of people do what you did and everything works just fine, it saves them time and energy of having to redo everything.

If it does bother you and you want to keep your new PCs results separate from the old ones, set no new tasks, abort/finish all the current work, and do a fresh install.
Because your old system is dead, AFAIK there isn't a way to update the tracking to show it as whatever actually crunched all your old work.

Yes, I did a fresh install, but the old ID shows the new hardware not the old Intel i7-3770k CPU since it got some recent WU with the new h/w. So no way to get the old name and CPU details corrected?

Normally, when you create new hostID because of new hardware or new email address you lose the stats of the old host. You can then merge the old hostID into the new hostID using the Merge facility in the BOINC server software exposed on your account.
But if you want to preserve your old hostID because of sentimental reasons like the length of time you have been running that host, IOW its creation date, or the total amount of credits earned, the only way to preserve the stats and creation date of the old host with the new host with the new hardware is to edit the client_state.xml file and change the hostID to the old hostID and the value of the rpc_seqno to plus 1 of the value of the number of times the old host contacted the project. That prevents the project server from just reassigning a new hostID to the new host all over again.
