I have downloaded E@H to my Android 10 Samsung Galaxy S9 smart phone and I would like to change its name (host name?) to something other than "android_92df8499".  Is it possible to do?  I didn't find anything to rename when I downloaded E@H.

If you install the BETA BOINC

If you install the BETA BOINC application, it does allow that.

Go to the playstore, search for BOINC and sign up to the BETA. Then update and it should be available on the prefs.

Thank for the info,

Thank for the info, Falconet.  I did as you suggested but the only two BOINC apps I found were the one I have installed, and the other AndroBOINC by Palo M., and my phone says it was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly, and no updates available.

But, I did actually find where to change the name within the BOINC app I already have.  Under the preferences where it has the name, just touch the name and it opens a new window where you can enter a new name.
