I've just downloaded BOINC on my new Amazon Fire TV Stick and it works fine with Universe@Home and WuProp@Home. I've tried to connect to World Community Grid and Einstein@Home but it doesn't.
However, I'm happy to help Universe@Home with another Android device ????

The usual problem with this

The usual problem with this trick is the appliance you are using isn't designed to run 24/7 and doesn't have sufficient cooling.

I remember other projects where they tried Android-based appliances, got them to run, but the appliance burned out completely in 3-6 months.  So they were "grumpy".

Other than that, more power to you!

You can game on a Fire TV stick, so it should be able to handle extended periods at full load.  If using for BOINC making sure it gets some airflow is probably not a bad idea.

OTOH I cooked 3(?) phone batteries in about a year each running boinc on them, before I learned my lesson so I know that 100% load on something not designed for it can be harmful.
