have noticed  that all LATeah Gamma-ray segments 'stick' at 89.979% for long periods and the lapsed remaining (est) counter 'sticks' at the same time, yet the lapsed time counter is still incrementing - is this a fault with the program or my PC ?

Neither.  As described this is normal behavior, seen on all systems running this application.

You give no numbers.  A sufficiently long pause at that point would mean a problem.

Hi Pete, welcome to Einstein!

As Archae86 says, it's quite normal.  To give a bit more detail, here is a response I gave to a very similar question which does explain the reason for what you see.  Check it out if you'd like to know.

When questions like this get asked, it's very useful to have details about your computer and the results it has already sent back.  By default, your computers are 'hidden'.  If you are happy for others to see the details of your hardware without you having to list those every time, you can change your preferences to 'allow' non-sensitive information to be viewed by anyone trying to answer your question.

To do that, go to your account page -> preferences -> privacy and change (and SAVE) the appropriate setting.  Nothing sensitive is revealed and it's very useful to allow others to work out potential reasons for why problems are occurring.

Cheers,
Gary.
