    I had my computer go down and had to replace it with a newer better model.  When it went down, my computer was working on a file, but it stopped at 17:49 local time according to the log.  I am up again, but I need to know how to finish up the file that was on the other computer.  Any help is appreciated.

      Sorry for not leaving you the full information.  I went down on Jan 15, at 17:49 and that computer was KA8F1A7 working on h1_0196.40_O2C02Cl1In0__O2MD1V1_VelaJr1_196.55Hz_40_0.  I've been a little scattered getting things back up.  Sorry for that

        Sorry one of  the security things they do is prevent things like that...people could use a REALLY fast computer to crunch 95% of the workunit then send it to another pc to finish while the orginal pc works on a new workunit. It's okay the system is setup to handle  things like that and someone else will just get the workunit.

          If the hard drive of the old computer is still OK and you can get access to the Boinc data directory then you might be able to salvage the old task (if platform is the same Win/Linux/Mac and hardware Intel/AMD/Nvidia).

          If not then rest assure that Boinc was designed to handle this type of scenario and when the deadline of your task expires it will be sent to someone else to complete.

              I'm working on getting the hard drive working again, but by the time I do, it will probably be too late.  At least the data will not go to waste.
