Io Saturnalia! Saturnalia is the mid winter's Roman feast. Lots of orgies and other festivities. It occurs on the seventeenth but I forget whether that is in the Gregorian or Julian calendar. If the latter. then it will be about a fortnight later.
From a snowy Yorkshire with the temperature of -1C. Thus cunningly introducing three new numbers. Sorry four, five ....
Christmas Eve (24 Dec) and a pending Merry Christmas to all!
I agree Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays or Happy Chanukah if that's your belief!
You missed Kwanzaa...
I am WINNING !!!
Yes I did, it was not on purpose though...so sorry if anyone was not happy I missed it. I was with the grandkids over Christmas and was very distracted but I'm home now so should be back my old self again. Although I am a year older in the process so who knows!

Well, when you get far enough up there it feels like it's two years gone by each birthday!!!

I understand the pleasant distractions of family. Our daughter is home for the the Holidays, which is a treat, so I haven't been online as much as usual. She'll leave after New Year, but then my wife will be beginning her retirement and I have a paper to write, so I'm not sure how much back to my "normal" routine I'll see for a while. LOL

Yup I went to the grandkids house for Christmas and my birthday and it was bedlam with a 4 year old and an 18 month year old compared to my wife and I's regular retired routine, it was nice to come home again!! Add to that my younger son was there as well as my sister in law and her husband and son, he's 14 and although he says he had 'fun' he didn't say a total of 100 words to any one person except his parents the whole 4 days he was there. My wife said he was MUCH more friendly than the last time she saw him in late Summer at his house, teenagers are strange folks!! LOL!!
