Hey guys,
on my 1050 Ti one of the Gravitational Wave search WUs normally took around 20 minutes to finish.
Now suddenly they run for over an hour. They still give the same 1,000 points.
What could be the reason of this? I didn't change anything.
Cheers

I haven't seen any announcement about it but if you look at the names of the tasks you are now crunching you will notice there has been a change. The Multi-Directed search (O2MD) doesn't scan the whole sky but just looks at known pulsar targets. There seems to be a change of target and perhaps there is more data per task to analyze, so the tasks may take longer. That would be my guess.
I imagine there will be an announcement in Technical News in due course.
Cheers,
Gary.

Hmm yea, you are right.
The weird thing is, that the WUs also take an hour on the GTX 1080, which should be a lot faster.
Just noticed that GPU usage hovers only around 60%, maybe that's why it takes so long.

I've got a few of these things and they take a bit over 1 hr running 2x on a GTX1060

Wasn't there a previous release of tasks that had a period that proved to forever stall out? And now these long running tasks are right on the outside of that exclusion zone of periodicity.
