shoulder had been improving over the last 3 days but today, Thursday it is making it's presence well known, i.e., it is quite painful.  will just have to endure/tolerate until it decides to calm down.  movement is painful but movement seems to reduce the level of discomfort shortly after the movement .  I am thinking along the lines of physical therapy and how it can improve a situation like this.  the best therapy is to not get yourself into such a predicament!!!

My wife went to the Orthopedic Dr and the Nurse told her to try Blu Emu for temporary relief of the pain, it worked until they could get to the point where they could do shots to make it alot better. They make both a cream and a spray and I use both, it's alot like BenGay but without the smell or heat that BenGay can give. I can spray a joint and within 10 minutes it's ALOT better, it actually kept me walking without a cane before they decided to do arthroscopic surgery to fix my knee, I had two torn Meniscus's in there. I buy it at Walmart because it's close and cheap but Amazon etc sells it too.

Recently I noticed they have been advertising Blu Emu on TV so now I might give it a try.  I have an Mri scheduled but not for another 10 days.  Yesterday was almost pain free until my should went "pop" then the pain returned in "spades".  It might take surgical intervention to correct the problem.  Nuts.

Okay line em up at the

Okay line em up at the bar...drinks are on me!!

Today is Wednesday and by far the busiest day of my week this week, go to the gym in the morning, come home and do some outside chores then shower, then do inside chores for the rest of the day because my youngest son is coming to visit in between his archeological dig site jobs. He's FINALLY getting paid this time instead of him paying to help them, he was in South Dakota but the coming weather changes mean that's done for this year and his next site is in Florida. You can't be living in tents in South Dakota as the weather drops to near freezing temps, it's a bit hard to be very careful and productive too when your freezing and so is the ground. Grants for digs can last anywhere from 1 week to about 90 days so it's wind down time up there. I have to go get my son at the airport at dinner time, then I have a 7pm meeting that hopefully now that someone quit on we can finally get some real work done without all the drama!! I seriously dislike it when you bring on someone who is very good at what they do and then they try to take over EVERY part of the reason for the group. In this case it's a community website we've been working on for over 2 years, we got alot done but there was no funding so we couldn't actually publish anything. Then we brought this person on to make it less clinical and more friendly and fun, which she did a VERY good job doing!! But then she decided SHE had the final say about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING website related, which is where the problems came in because she then attacked people personally who disagreed were her point of view. She resigned before we had to talk about letting her go, it's all volunteers so no hiring or firing per se. I will let my son stay at home and do his laundry etc during my meeting of an hour or so.

I think I will be the first one at the bar for that drink!!

No not whisky but whiskey. I once took part in a dig at York. An eighteen hundred year old sewer. Amusing crawling in Roman coprolites.

This is crazy over 2 days and no one thought of ANYTHING to say....?

My son is on his way to Gainesville Florida to do more digging, they are trying to build something and they need to prove they are NOT doing so on top of the Olemc's or whatever else might be in the ground there. Cemeteries in particular can be a HUGE pain in the butt!!

I have a cousin who used to do work that sounds a lot like what your son is doing. I seem to remember they discovered a cemetery where they wanted to wanted to expand a highway somewhere in the Virginia suburbs outside of D.C. Or maybe it was the Maryland suburbs. This was many years ago.

Those are HORRIBLE with all the paperwork and family permissions needed to move them, my son said they hope they NEVER find those!! It often ends up in Court because one or two families refuse to give permission to relocate and that can tie up the project for YEARS!! In the end the families almost always lose, greater good etc etc and there are lots of bad feelings on all sides.
