Why does Einstein@Home ignore my preferences?

Hi everyone,

I have been running Einstein@Home on and off for a little while, and recently committed most of my BOINC compute to the project. I cannot for the life of me get the project to send me only the tasks I request. Specifically, I am getting CPU tasks when I only requested GPU work, and even the CPU tasks get sent for application types I explicitly disallowed.

Is this something I am messing up, or are the preferences settings no longer functional?

Thank you for your time.

My location is just the

My location is just the generic default. I did notice that the settings sometimes change without me doing it. Since I use BAM! to control my hosts, maybe this is a problem internal to BAM! and not related to Einstein@Home?

Yes Bam and Einstein have been having problems lately, I don't use Bam so don't know how deep it goes but that would make sense if you are trying to use it and it's not working. Try doing it on the webpage here instead, View Account, preferences, project should get you to where you want to be. Be sure to click save changes at the bottom of the page and then update your pc and the new changes should take affect with all future workunits you get from then on. At Einstein changes do NOT affect any workunits already on your pc.
