Hey,
I've been playing around with boinc on android.
I noticed that for the other projects, there would be multiple instances running at the same time. For Einstein@home though, there seem to be only 1.
I've set the requisite settings on the phone, and like I said the other projects seem to be working fine.
I'm not sure how this works, but maybe it's something on einstein@home's end?

I had multiple tasks running on my phones, OTOH all 3 phones I installed boinc on popped their batteries within 10-16 month; so I'd advise against doing it on them.

Just need to keep the batteries cool. My Nexus 7 has been crunching/folding for several years ok. Nexus 9 did bloat up though. Someone on WCG forums sets up his phones using an external 3.8v PSU with no battery.

And nah I'm not using my primary phone (which is an iPhone. Don't judge me XD) so no issue there.
There should be no problems with batteries even then if they're continually plugged in since they should be running off the main power when full. I guess we can be extra safe by using higher rated chargers, though it should not be an issue now since the standard even for low end chargers now seems to be 1A instead of 0.5A

You'll definitely want to rig something up to keep the batteries cool, as over time they will bulge if not actively cooled and are rather prone to this in the summer due to the higher ambient temperatures summer brings. I'm currently crunching other projects on four phones (2x HTC One M8, 2x Samsung Galaxy S3) and I have them on top of an inexpensive laptop cooler (A CoolerMaster X Slim - http://www.coolermaster.com/mobile/notepal-series/notepal-x-slim/ ) and all four phones fit on it, with gaps in between them. I have removed the backs on the S3's and the batteries are barely held in place with blue painter's tape, so that way if they bulge again the theory is that they'll automatically power down since they'll dislodge the tape and then the battery contacts will move far enough away to no longer power the phone.
