I saw this thread over on SETI forums about some of the Arecibo radio telescopes being damaged by Hurricane Maria. Is E@H still receiving data from any telescopes there?

Some news on Arecibo's funding future:
-yes, there are plans to repair all the storm damages
- no, there are no plans to mothball or even demolish the telescope anytime soon, but ....
- yes, there is a need to find a new source for additional funding because the current owners plan to reduce the funding in the coming years, and rather drastically so.
At least that is the plan. The overall last word is always with the budget that has to be approved by the US congress.
