New garage door opener won't be installed for a few weeks. Bummer.
:-( Indeed. Is there a work around?
I do have my coat and gloves out. Since I lost 150 pounds, I've turned into a freeze baby.
We rarely have much need for them for warmth. Some Januaries do get quite cool however. It's rain that needs preparing for most days - if not all - throughout November. This year has been an exception so far.

Maybe you will be 'lucky' and get Snow in December to make up for it? ;-)
Has anyone measured the velocity at which a leading foot propels an average anniet out their front door, once it's encountered and then interacted with a pile of strategically emitted cat sick just inside it?
No?
Well this morning would have been a good time to do it.
How is everyone? :) *rush on regardless* I am sorry to hear about your garage doors, Kathryn. Is it a matter of not being able to put something inside when you're on the outside of them... or not getting something out of the inside, that poses the biggest problem while you're waiting? I've not had much experience of garage doors since coming to the UK. I know they're around somewhere though.
Out of interest - how does everyone pronounce it? People edge away from me when I do.
Garridge - (like carriage - except there's a g where you can presently see a c)
*show einsteinians what a "c" looks like* --> C
is where their preferences lie.

Oh.
For a minute there I thought I had more in my head.
Seems I was wrong.
*examine all occupants carefully* If I come back tomorrow, there's a slightly better chance I will have grown a new thought from somewhere :) in the meantime I'll just say hello, okay?
There you go.!!! -----------------------------------------------^ Told you! :)
Dual purpose edit at Gnu to say: It's lovely to see you back :) but also to test for lingering "access denied" messages. ;)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Here in the States it's pronounced: "guh - raj" --> guh as in Duh, except with a g; raj as in maharaja. But then again, some people pronounce that word as ma-ha-ra-ja instead of ma-ha-raj-a.
Now that we are on about words I will throw an oldie out there...what does "ghoti" sound like when you say it?
Sir Rodney I too get that access denied message sometimes, but I just click post again when it goes back to where I was and it works for me then, I don't think it's on our end.
Anniet I think it would look very funny from a distance as you ZOOMED out your front door like you were in a great big rush to get away from something!! Once you were on the sidewalk and collected yourself though it would make one wonder WHY you rushed out so fast only to stop once you got outside. Was it the odd spider, mouse, flying flower pot or what that encouraged you to come outside in such a manner?

It is most fortunate you posted, Mikey. Thank you, Sir.
My attempt to edit-in a "welcome back" to Gnu on my previous post, was thwarted by an access denied message.
It is more common for Morocco to receive snow than ourselves, but it would be a novelty all here would enjoy were you to be correct. :-)

You guys crack me up. And a bit of good news... garage door opener was installed yesterday. They just called out of the blue.
Now I can actually put the car in the garage instead of in the driveway.
My dear Annie. I can only hope you're ok after your encounter with cat puke. It's my least favorite thing.

The only thing worse than stepping in cat puke with your shoe is doing that while not wearing one. e.g. 2 am bathroom run.
