I didn't know what I was doing when I first setup Boinc and attached to E@H I ran solo for a few days. There is completed work here from that time, however when I switched to pool it seems like my work validation is stalled. What can I do? Do I need to stay active running solo for those to be approved?

I have no idea what you mean by a distinction between running "solo" vs. "pool".
Reviewing the pending task list and the validated task list for your only machine does not look at all abnormal to me. Just now your pending list showed five tasks you returned between June 17 and 18. All of them have tasks issued to quorum partners who have not yet returned them. You have more than twice that many returned tasks which have validated because your quorum partner has returned their task, and the project software has compared the quorum results and called them good.
What you need to do is to wait. That is all.

I had a look at your computer and the tasks that it has completed and most everything looks normal, there are 2 "Error while computing", but as long as it doesn't happen again I don't think they are anything to worry about.
Normally it takes 2 copies of each tasks to validate the workunit, this is to prevent both cheating and faulty computers from submitting bad data. For the "Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1" CPU application the project accepts single tasks for a workunit to reduce the overhead of running the task on 2 different computers, depending on the track record of the machine there will be workunits that do get a second task to check if the machine is still reliable.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm using Gridcoin a crypto currency which uses Boinc rewards as a metric for awarding tokens to people who support certain compute projects.

I've been here for more than 12 years and I still reckon I don't really know what I'm doing either so you're in pretty good company :-).
Most other points were answered but I just wanted to assure you that the credit for validated work will flow irrespective of what you do from now on. You don't need to remain active or logged in. It can take weeks or even months in exceptional circumstances for a small number of tasks to be validated so that credit can flow. There's nothing you can do to speed things up since it all depends on what your 'wingman' (quorum partner) is doing. A copy of most tasks is sent to two unrelated computers.
Validation (and credit award) can only occur after two results that agree with each other are returned and checked against each other. Your copy remains 'pending' until that occurs. Tasks that fail or don't ever get returned are replaced with extra copies to new wingmen either when a task fails or when the deadline is passed (2 weeks). If you are unlucky enough to get caught with 'several in a row' like this, it can take a long time.
As you can imagine, if someone gets bored or goes on extended holiday and 'forgets' about things, lots of pending tasks can be created. If a volunteer decides to stop for any reason, the considerate thing to do is to abort all remaining tasks on board and 'update' the project (click the button in BOINC Manager) to return the surplus tasks immediately, BEFORE turning off the computer. Tasks can then be re-issued immediately by the server to other hosts.
