I hope I have not missed any informative posts, but:
New Rpi3 will not attach to Einstein.
BOINC Manager project add window comes back with "Failed to add project"
Event log is as follows:

I am writing this post on the same machine that won't attach.
Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I can't find anything wrong on the server status page and SETI will get to login credentials. I don't have an account with SETI but it responds.
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

I'll post here since this didn't get deleted.
I have another machine I'm trying to add and same result. BOINC Manager consistantly fails to add project. So I tried doing it with the command line and get this:
Authorization failure: -155
Any ideas? I tried to find this code and came up empty.

When you use the boinccmd tool it is important that you first change into the BOINC data directory (/var/lib/boinc-client on Debian) and then execute the command. This is so that boinccmd can read the gui_rpc_auth.cfg file which needs to be in the current working directory. You of course need read permissions on this file.
If that still doesn't work, please activate the http_debug and http_xfer_debug and try to add the project again. This will give more useful error messages in the BOINC logfile (var/log/boinc.log).
Thanks for the tips

Thanks for the tips Christian. That will make it easier next time.
Found the problem, but only by process of elimination. The computer ran fine. Boinc ran fine. Everything was good, except it refused to talk to Einstein. I burned a new sd card and it worked first time. Something was corrupt on that card that was specific to Einstein. No idea what, but your tips allowed me to dismiss other issues.
I'll keep those in my notebook, and the new Pi is working on it's first 4 wu's.
Thanks again.
