Trouble is I don't think that a lot of folks realise what the crunchers put into projects, its not just time and cpu/gpu cycles, its cost of kit, plus cost of the electricity used to run the kit, and the amount of money paid out for upgrades etc.
Hi Cliff,
Perhaps you might like to reconsider what you really mean by "folks". The vast majority of 'folks' contributing to these boards are volunteers, like you and like me. I can assure you these 'folks' really do understand the cost of their volunteer activities. So, by "folks", perhaps you are pointing more at 'staff' rather than volunteers. If that is so, and even if they were somewhat thick-skinned, I would be surprised if they weren't a little bit offended by this rather unwarranted slur.
Having met quite a number of these 'folks' (at this project) who supposedly don't understand "what the crunchers put into projects", I know for a fact that they do. I also know how much time and effort they put into trying to meet the needs of all volunteers. Nobody is forcing any of us to volunteer, or to build bigger and better systems, or to have excessive hardware and running costs. If these costs are out of control for you, is that really the fault of the project staff?
It takes much time and effort to bring new apps to a state of proper efficiency and maturity.. You can decide to help or you can decide to opt out for the time being. The choice is entirely up to you. What you shouldn't do is accuse the staff of some form of insensitivity or incompetence when such claims are patently not justified.

Well that's got that mega whinge off my keyboard:-)
Do you really think it's funny to make such a post? Already, the problem seems to be solved. Perhaps you might like to have a "mega whinge" about that as well?
So readers if you don't want problems, please do not run them.
Stand aside (silently if you so choose) while others who are willing to contribute and work through these problems (for your later benefit) do.
I take my hat off, and a big round of applause to the E@H developers for this excellent new developing app. A new GPU# app should be welcomed like a new baby!

GTX 1080 350 480 (from user Matt)
There's something odd happening on the Tesla, GPU is well utilized, but CPU at 99% too. I didn't have any problems with Milkyway or BRP there...
