Speaking of rifles, a friend of mine in the security industry has been issued with a new BSRV ( Ballistic & Stab Resistant Vest ) with the following disclaimer on the inside :
..... there is, no doubt, some context in which that is no where near as odd as it first reads i.e. all those quoted standards. I get the rifle aspect ( won't stop AP rounds etc ), but the pointy things part ? Is everyone going up the software disclaimer route now ? Any ideas ?
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

I don't remember where but I THINK I remember seeing that ceramic knives will go right thru those vests, but normal pocket and kitchen type regular carbon steel stuff gets stopped.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone I hope you and yours are all doing well and will make it thru the day stuffed to the gills like a turkey, potato, pasta shell or whatever you choose to eat that is stuffed.
Ooooohh that was a wriggle and a half if ever I saw one!!
The Joker is a playing card found in most modern card decks, as an addition to the standard four suits (clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades). Originating in the United States during the Civil war and created as a trump card for Euchre, and many other games as a wild card. They can also be used in place of missing cards, suitably annotated, and are where card manufacturers usually place their logo.
Large G&T easty on the T, cheers :-))
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
Also, Tits' could never be considered the 27th group if there weren't 26 already. So just for being bigger than 25, 26 must be quite imoprtant. And it took me 26 paces to make a stone-cold cup of hot coffee yesterday. It should only have taken 10. Spookily, that result matches the same Ineffeciency of Effort Quotient that governs messing up falling over. Do it competently and it's achieved within just one step. Incompetently takes 2.6
Happy Thanksgiving, Kathryn :) and all you others too of course. And happy Today everyone else!
*examine Mike's vest* I'd check out what NIJ Standard-011500/00 says about Protection Class 2 before even being sure of spikes to be honest, Mike. And that "remove before washing" bit.
What would we find out if we didn't...
Y-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-s... exactly - if it won't stand up to a wool wash no spin...

I'm working on something at the moment people. If I wasn't I would have said more - but I am so I won't and when I'm not, I'll come back and say hello to everyone properly :) when you've stopped distracting me...
edit: Yes. I DID put a lot of line spaces in. I had to. Everything kept bunching up at the top.
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

26 is about how many more
26 is about how many more minutes I feel like staying awake this evening. It will probably end up being more than that, though.

er um er 26 is two full
er um er
26 is indeed two full suits, but a standard pack of cards also contains 2 jokers, so it isn't strictly 1/2 a pack.
No need to thank me, my pleasure :-)
