Four simultaneously I suppose might account for it then. It's interesting you include pregnancy. My problem was less about not recognising my name, than not knowing what it was when I was asked it.

Ah ! You see that's the sort of subtlety that I miss, because I'm a bloke. :-)))

I hope your other half improves. Fistula is not Latin for 'fun' and is not related to curled hands either.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) I now have an Ikea abacus* for the consult room ! Wooden and bright pastel colored beads. Epic. Mind you there is probably an app for that now .....

Would've been nice, but I had to get up and go. And I definitely should not be awake right now.

I FINALLY got sleep last

I FINALLY got sleep last night.  Went to bed at 10 PM - Pacific, (with a generic Ambien in my system), and slept through to this morning at 7:15 AM.

In preparation for Elections on Nov. 8th, I went to Early Voting through my County.  Now, I don't have to worry about time enough to vote on the 8th, 'cause it's done now.  Now I can focus on preparing to work the polls as a Poll Clerk for my local Precinct.  (I work every election I can.)  Found out on Saturday that our Precinct was short handed by 3-4 Poll Clerks.  (Talked to my Inspector and got this bad news.)  Called a few neighbors and put feelers out to friends and friends of friends.  By this evening, (5:30 PM), I had three new names to forward to the County.  I will hear back from the County tomorrow to confirm that these people will now be part of my Precinct.  (This legwork should have been on the Inspector; but, from my conversation with her Saturday afternoon it seemed that she was going to leave it all up to the County to work out...  THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS!!!!!  Before today, we had ONLY 3 people INCLUDING me.  Now, we potentially have a full crew.  Again, I'll find out tomorrow.

Opens door, sticks head in

Opens door, sticks head in forum, sniffs the air, sticks tongue out at Dr. H, withdraws head, slams door shut...

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Sounds like the County needs to find you a new boss if she is willing to let things just slide until it's too late, or even almost too late like this time!! LOTS of people are predicted to vote this time around, with two polarizing candidates and LOTS of people still saying they are undecided lack of poll workers could be really bad for PR!!

Phil why such a short visit...come on in and sit a spell!! We don't bite.....much!!
