Look at this
Our team is HardwareBG @ Einstein@Home so the total and average for the Team is wrong ,we must have about
TOTAL - 8,991.15
AVERAGE - 394.28
bUT we have :
TOTAL - 4,727.24
AVERAGE - 244.98
or something LIKE this .I've looked about 10 teams , and everything is fine with their results ,bUT ours are something else .We are from hardwarebg.com forum with a lot users (10000 and above) ,but when something like this is hapening I think we will not participate if the problem continues.
Can somebody tell me what is wrong ?

Problem with TEAM credit - wrong
)
Hello OCFreeze,
A team gets credit from it's members, granted while they are in the team. And the credit stays with the team after they leave.
So the sum of the credits of all team members is usually not the same as the team credit. In growing teams the sum should be more, in teams with leaving participants it could as well be less.
This doesn't affect the personal credit, they stay with you forever (or for as long as the project will last ;)
As this personal credit is not marked with team tags, and the team credit not with member tags, the competition in the teams is always between the whole of it's members credits, not only those that were granted while in the team. Except you create your own team stats page, where you keep track of the credits of the participants.
Only CPDN handles it otherwise, they only add up the members credits, so team shopping still possible there, but it's in the discussion to change it as well to the Boinc standard.

Hello Saenger.
Thanks for answering me.
But we are a young team and as I know we don't have any "leaving" and "joining" participants ?!? . And as I can understand U ,we must have more TOTAL ,then the sum of all members in the team (because we will not see the missing ones et.) ,but in this case it is the opposite ->we have less then the SUM . So ....where is the problem ?
PS: I am a "team" person and play a team games. I don't wanna be first person in the team/game ,no! I want to be in a good (may be leading) team .
EDIT: Now I understood that we have something like member with credit which has joined after already having some of his credit ,SORRY for everything . :)
I believe that if you look at
)
I believe that if you look at each team members acct you will see a number of WUs that are pending, as in no credit issued, that is the difference IMHO.

Pending credit does not count for either individual or team stats.

And I think (see) so for the pending credit . The answer is that one member has a lot of credit before joining our team. He has done a lot WU's and when he joined our team the old one credit is not counting to us and.... I am sorry again for this thread .:)
RE: I am sorry again for
)
But why?
This are legitimate questions, and if those can't be posted here, what else?
BTW:
AFAIK pending credit will go to the new team once it's granted, as time of granting is the decisive one, not the time of reporting.
Go on crunching (and asking ;)

OK, OK -->BUT Why our average
)
OK, OK -->BUT
Why our average is only 253.51 when we must have 409,64 ,when I remove the average of member who has joined us later ??? When I sum the average of only 4 of us (for who I am sure that are new one + founder) we must have 362 ,but ...... it shows 253.51 .Can someone tell me ,and thats for already 4 days

Good point I did not consider that angle.......My response was over the top I was tired and not thinking, dud, how could anyone know the credits for pending results lololol....;0) TY JM7

Yep, that's agood and interesting question, definitely worth of a good answer. Unfortunately there seems to be some sort of inconsistency in the handling of the RAC, and it's not that clear, how it is really determined, at least not for me.
However, one thing is (for me, don't beat me if I'm wrong ;) clear: It's calculated for every entity on it's own, so with every new granted credit for each member, the team RAC will be calculated again, with the deflation of old credit in it. So the team RAC will nearly always be less then the sum of the member RACs. But perhaps Paul has more in his Wiki.

The RAC values are what is called an 'exponentially decaying moving average with a one-week time constant'. The RAC for a team is NOT the sum of the members RACs. Instead, it is a moving average calculated from the credits/reporting time of team members.
