Can't you even use your own threads, not even when others add that news to them 4 hours before you do?

Oh right, mine is uncalled for (uncivil, you meant?)? The Cafe here is so dead anyway that E&HG can fill it with stuff? Even if they have never used forums before, a clear state of mind would help: Just use your old thread that you made on the same subject x days before. (And which was at the top of the forums anyway!)
It's not that difficult.

Oh, I thought it was just a suggestion and not uncalled for or rude. In this case, I thought it was more than just news at LHC that they were opening new accounts, and I did not want anybody to miss out. I occasionally only post what I consider to be significant news of other BOINC sites and only in the "Cafe" part. I believe that is appropriate news posted in an appropriate place. IMHO, as long as BOINC itself has no common board, this is the appropriate way to spread the news to the community.
Of course, the teams will spread it as well on their fora, but that's not really public.
I personally would prefer an official BOINC forum from Berkeley, not only for the new poject news, but other common problems/features discussion as well, but so far this has to do it.
E&H: Go on with spreading the good news of new projects!
