On the column titled "Work unit ID click for details" you can click on a unit and see how many others were turned in. There has to be three turned in before you get credit, than you all get the same credit.
i just started with boinc projects... what are the credits used for? if i can get something tangible for my credits i will attach to as many projects as i can and devote massive cpu time to them 24/7. other than that, im happy to help anyway. please respond, i think this is great that i can be involved.

The are simply for amusement purposes. It gives people a measure of how much work their machine(s) has done. Some people get quite competitive about them, but no, nothing tangible is gained from them.
